Why do octopuses have blue blood ?

Octopuses have Because without in they cannot survive in
the deep blue ocean. The octopuses have evolved a copper
rather than iron based blood called hemocyanin. Witch in
this case turns the colour of the blood into blue blood.
The copper based blood is much more efficient at
transporting Oxygen. Hemoglobin isn't as efficient as
Hemoglobin. Hemoglobin does not cope as well as
Hemoglobin does in very low water pressure when not a lot
of oxygen is around.

  Why do bees sting ?

When a bee stings you, it's incredibly sharp stinger pierces your skin. The singer injects a venom called apitoxin into your skin. Most of the time the stinger gets stuck in your skin and comes of the bee. Worker honey bees die because they have a barbed stinger that remains behind with the venom sac.  Most bees and wasps do not have a barbed stinger and so they don’t die after stinging. Most bees sting because they are trying to protect their hives. Also they sting because they are trying to protect their pollen sources and their food. Wasps and hornets they just sting for fun they don’t care. They are not bees.

  Why do cats wag their tails ?

Cats and Kittens usually wag their tails when they are annoyed or angry. Your cat may flick or wag their tail if it wants you to stop petting him or her. It  might of been in the process of hunting. Cats normally flick their tails back and forth when they are in hunting mode. 

Also when your cat is rapidly banging or thrashing their tails around or back and forth it signals that they are pretty unhappy and you should leave them alone. Cats may also swish their tails when they are excited. When your cat is feeling playful it wags his or her tail smoothly and softly. When your cat's tail is standing straight up it means a signals a sense of happiness and its willingness to be friendly. A little twitch in the tail can mean a particularly happy moment for him or her.

Technology !!!

Digital technology has made people's lives more efficient and it lets their days run smoothly.  I think technology has greatly affected the way kids learn. Some people enjoy the new changes in technology, but some others disagree.

Shopping online has made people's lives easier and more fun. For example, they don't have to drive into the mall or shops and use up all their gas which by the way is ruining the environment. Also here's a tip, instead of using your car you should walk, bike, run or even scooter. Online shopping has made people's lives easier because if you are retired and you don't have a car or if your car is in the shop getting fixed. You can just go shopping online and it will be delivered to your door.

Communication has evolved so much over the past decade, like there's Skype now, a great way to talk with friends, family or even distant relatives that live on the other side of the world. Their is also facetime which is pretty much the same. You can also call people or text them to make it quicker. When you call someone it makes life easier because you dont have to travel a long way to talk to them. Like you did in the olden days.

Transport has evolved a lot in the past couple of years. Now we have electric cars, lime scooters, electric scooters and the new thing the flamingo scooters. You should use a bike because it is an easy way to get around and it is very good exercise. A lime scooter is a very efficient way to get around but you have to be sensible or you could get severely hurt. Transport has become much more efficient since the carriages run by horses.

      The unforgettable forest adventure !!!

 Hi my name is Caoimhe Harrison and today i'm gonna share some of my amazing writing with you. This story is about my orienteering adventures when went to Wooded camp site with my hub. Please enjoy. 

     The unforgettable forest adventure !!! 

One of my favourite activities on camp was by far the
amazing orienteering. The forest was a blanket of green.
My group was the fastest group to finish, we were as fast
as Usain Bolt running a world marathon. We only took
24 minutes, it was amazing because there were 5 people in
our group and the boys had 7 people. It seemed like they
didn't even know how to read a map! We had to wait half
an hour for the them. My dad (Phil) made us run the whole
way our legs were like jelly. I was as tired as a plane engine
after travelling around the world and back again
(but we won so thanks go to him). Victory tasted like
gold. It was so much fun I felt really great about it.
I can't wait for the next orienteering adventure.

An unexpected visitor

For our writing we needed to make a doc called an s.u.w. It is where you write amazing storeys. Here is one of the best stories please enjoy! 

An unexpected visitor

Once upon a time in a far away land there lived a cute little fairy called Ellie. She had lived in her mushroom for over 50 years. She was born here in mushroom land she had her first steps here she went to school here and worked in the fields here all her adult life. Mushroom land was safe and nothing unexpected ever happened.  Each and every day her neighbours would attend their normal day jobs in an ordinary way. Every morning she would sit at her table tucking into a plate of steaming hot butterfly mushrooms on toast. Watching the ordinary world go by in its ordinary way. This morning seemed no different … until she peeked out of her window. The sight that had meet her eyes was not acceptable or ordinary at all. There was an unexpected visitor that had arrived. The visitor had grey and pink hair. She was a very unexpected character to enter mushroom land. Her personality was whack she acted like a rock star I wonder if she is and she is here to put on a show for us no one has ever done that before. Her name was Livi Larmonico she was putting up flyers about her show i'm definitely going to go. Livi was a total  rock star she was so pretty and talented “I can't wait to see her perform” shouted Ellie. So Ellie got really ready for the show and soon enough it was the night of the concert Livi was getting ready for her big show. The crowd were roaring their hearts out. But suddenly a spark came from the dj's control board it lit the stage on fire the whole entire crowd screamed in fear they all ran away except one… Livi was trap there was fire surrounding her. Ellie stopped when she heard Livi screaming ”help, someone please help me”. Ellie had to think fast she filled 3 buckets full of water she tried to throw them at the fire but instead she soaked Livi in water. She  tried again and this time she actually got the fire she made a little space for Livi to get out. They ran away from mushroom land and watched it all disappear soon enough mushroom land was just ashes, ashes lying on the ground. Mushroom land was gone no one ever stepped foot in mushroom land again.

SAVE THE PLANET !!!

PBL SPEECH

For PBL in term two we worked on saving our environment. We all had to make or do something to help save the planet. Me and my group made a video it turned out great. We were able to use the green screen. Neila helped us use the green screen she was a big help. The people in my group were Beth, Sophie, Ariella and me.

STOP USING PLASTIC !!!

I think people of the world should ban plastic because plastic is  killing our Earth and if we have no Earth there is no us. ⬇

Firstly, if there is no plastic on our earth then the landfills will be
a lot smaller. Also with no plastic their will be a smaller amount
of landfills living on our wonderful world.  Landfills are replacing
a lot of land were trees could of been planted and grown into
beautiful forests, with Birds chirping around. It is so sad to think
that the people of our time are replacing what could of been a
huge forest but now it is a huge landfill.

Secondly, if you go to the sea and just look at the water lots
and lots of poor fish and sea turtles are getting filled with plastic. Then they die because of plastic, mainly plastic straws and single use plastic bags. These fish that are dying because of us, they were put on this Earth long before you and me. It is so sad to think that the people of this very century are dumping their plastic into the landfills with no heart  and no respect for the wonderful world. Do you know where most plastic ends up ? well it ends up in the sea. people think that it is okay to dump their rubbish in the sea just to kill the sea animals. Help the poor sea animals today in your normal human life and never in one billion years throw one little piece of plastic in the sea ever again. Each and every animal on Earth have as much right to be here as you and me. Come on help the Earth, we cannot afford to wait any longer. 

Most importantly if you want this world, your home, to be a better place stop cutting down trees! You are killing the birds that are now having to move to different habitats or homes almost every single day. Stop throwing away plastic in the sea and killing our poor sea animals that are already struggling because of the rising sea levels and climate change. Stop polluting our air Because soon enough we won't be able to breath clean air or drink fresh clean and unpolluted water. Animals should not require our permission to live on Earth. Animals were given the right to live here long before you and me.

 But I strongly believe that in the future  there will be no plastic whatsoever. I also hope that all of the sea  animals have a long life on a non plastic diet. I hope all the birds are safe from tree killers. So next time you throw plastic in a landfill think before you do it, if you don't do it you are basically saving the sea animals. Look down below for some ways you can help the wonderful world in you daily lives.⬇

1.Stop buying single use plastic.

2.If you are going in a car try get at least 2 or 3 people in the car at once.

3.If you do buy plastic try use it more than once.

4.Only buy reusable plastic.

5.If you see rubbish lying on the streets do the world a favour, pick it up.

6.Try solar power for your house.

Come on save the Earth, it needs our help. Without us it cannot survive.
