Maths

 Maths

For this weeks maths we had to create a Maori pattern/design and use reflection, enlargement, rotation and translation. Reflection is like your mirroring your work, enlargement is like making your work bigger or smaller. Rotation is moving your work onto an angle a 90%, 180% etc. Translation is moving your work up, down, left or right.

                                                     here is what I created

Have you ever learnt this?

writing

  Writing poetry

For writing this week we had to create a poem about Ngai Tahu and Otautahi. The poem had to include three little paragraphs, each paragraph had to include 4 lines. Ngai Tahu were the first long distance sailors to arrive in Canterbury and came from Hawaiki nui.

This is what I created.

Reading tasks week 9 trm 1

Reading tasks week 9 term 1

This week for reading we got to choose from two tasks or do both, the tasks were to create a ven diagram or to create a new landmark for Christchurch. For the ven diagram I chose to compare the great wall of china and Christchurch museum, And for the new landmark I created an art piece that represents the Christchurch Earthquakes.

This is the ven diagram task.

And this is the new landmark
