Erica's visit !
This week Erica came into school and talked about saving our world and the environment. She has a website called EcoMe it's a business that she created were you can buy eco friendly things that save all of the world. She came into school to talk about that is going into landfills. She made stainless steal straws they are to replace the old bad for the planet plastic yucky straws and they come in all cool different colours. She also made coffee cups that are also made out of stainless steal the are going to replace the old paper with plastic tops coffee cups. They come in silver and gold . She also made eco friendly bags that in the future will become a big thing in our world they have come to replace the disgusting plastic vegetable and fruit bags that you get in the supermarket. Forever stainless steel pegs they will never rust even in the worst of snow storms rain storms and even when a car goes over them they will never break. Stainless steal sporks they are forks and spoons put together they are for replacing those annoying plastic spoons and forks you can bring those stainless steal sporks to the mall instead of using the malls bad for the planet spoons and forks and by the way her store is called EcoMe. She made all of these things eco friendly because she is passionate about helping our planet. We too need to get in on the helping and make this world a better place.
People are already trying to help make the world a better place like in New Zealand we have banned single use plastic bags and single use plastic straws and I hope we can ban single use plastic cups. I hope that by the end of 2019 all plastic things will be gone but I don't think that will happen. And just remember you yourself ,you can help the environment even just by stopping using plastic or planting trees to stop greenhouse gasses you can even stop using your car and bike to instead that will help with the rising seas that are being caused by climate change.
And remember just one person can make a huge difference in our world !

A new way to travel
This is my best suw for term 1. It is called A new way to travel. I got the idea from pobble 365. It is a great website because it gets your brain working and you can write amazing storeys from it. I definitely recommend it.
A new way to travel
A new and improved way to travel invented this very week. By a London based inventor Samuel diggle. “ is that a bird, is that a plane ? no, it's the magnificent eco-friendly flying machine the zepper 2020. For years scientists and inventors have been striving to scratch the current global itch that is sustainable and eco-friendly energy. This could finally be it! Diggle’s new creation is not only cheap to construct, but Riley's solely upon natural energy sources. When interviewed yesterday morning on international television, Diggle delightedly spoke of his invention. “I believe I really am the most extraordinary man on the planet my invention will change the way people travel, and change the way the world works. Sustainable energy reduced carbon emissions and cleaner travel I am very proud of myself and certainly can't wait to see people using the zepper 2020 in their everyday lives”. Only time will tell weather diggles self-proclaimed brilliance is indeed brilliant. 10 years later … “broadcasting live from the zepper 2020 air force air port. The zepper 2020 is going to take its first flight all the way with no stops, from Auckland (new Zealand) to Alaska ( USA ), that's air force news, back to you Stacy & chuck”. 3 2 1 blast off and the zepper 2020 was on its way to Alaska With no stops do you think it will crash yes or no ?. “were half way the engine is stopping what is happening” yelled the captain. “Go Go faster” exclaimed the vice captain. The zepper 2020 fell out of the sky like an egg to fall of a spoon on an egg and spoon race. It fell into the sea with a big splash never to be seen again. Only one person survived her name was Emma Watson she was only 8 years old at the time. She swam over to a near buy island it was Alaska she made it there safely. She looked back, the zepper 2020 had sunk never to be seen in all eternity. She was sad because 99 people died, but she was a little bit happy because she survived she told the world about it, and became a world famous actor.

Winter sport win
Winter sport
On Thursday we did winter sport. Winter sport is were you do sport with your school only the Senior part of your school gets to go. There is Netball, hockey, football and rugby I play Netball and my second choice was football.
My team is called the killer bees that is the year five and six b team for netball our coach is the wonderful Miss Parker. We won eight six against st Anne's year five and six b team they were very pushy. The people in our team the killer bees are Caoimhe, Ariella, Sophie, Megan, Elsha, Cory, Lara and Santara there are eight of us. The other team had outstanding d but we had amazing A. They were tall and hard to beat but we still bet them. It was very hard to get a goal because of the terrible wind and rain. In-fact the wind was so bad that there was leafs flying in our faces the hole In-tier game. It was probably one of the most coldest netbal, games I have ever had and this is my third year playing netball and at times it can be really freezing.

Running my way to victory
Cross Country
This week on the 2nd of may my hole school did cross country at Walter park. The years 7/8 were first because they had to lead the others they did 3 laps. after the year 7/8 the year 1/2 went the new entrant and year 1 did half a lap. The year 2 did 1 full lap. the year 3/4 did 1 and a half laps the year 5/6 that's me we did 2 full laps of Walter park.
The whole school was indeed challenged to run. but we all completed our mission. And at the end of the day we all did good and there is no last place. But anyway in year 6 girls Alice came 1st Lily came 2nd and Sophie came 3rd. In year 5 girls I came 1st Elise came 2nd and Ariella came 3rd. In year 6 boys it was Max in 1st place Ethan came in 2nd place and Moston came in 3rd. In the year 5 boys Zac K came 1st Benjamin came 2nd and Zach H came 3rd.
