Terrific Toucans

Do you know how many colours of toucan there are?
Hi my name is caoimhe and today i'm gonna be showing you my mini
information report about toucans.

The large toucans can grow up to 25 inches tall and guess what their beaks
can grow up to 8 inches long. They are omnivorous. The colours that they
have on the bodies are black, blue, brown, green, red, white and yellow.

Toucans live in central America. That ten to live in pairs or small flocks
They live in little holes in the trees. The climate where toucans ten to live
is very humid and tropical all the time but very dry and rainy throughout
the seasons.

Some of toucans enemies or predators are forest eagles, hawks, jaguars,
boars and even owls. How do they protect themselves? their beak is actually
useless but they make a lot of noise so they use there loud noises to scare
of predators.

Toucan use the long beaks to reach the fruit on the top of the trees.
Some of the other things they eat are insects and other small reptiles. They
are omnivorous which means they eat plants and animals.

Toucans have the longest beak of any other bird that can grow up to
8 inches long. But I bet you think the beak is heavy but it's actually very
light like human hair. The toucan was called a toucan because it comes from
the sound that toucans make.

Toucans have lots of colour and they are very joyful. Toucans are an amazing
animal with such great intelligence. Did you learn something new about
toucans from this report?

I picked blue whales because they are very loud and my family are very loud. Please take a look at my blue whale and give me some feedback in the comments below.

If you had to do this task what animal would you pick to symbolise your family?

world war one life

During world war one time’s the soldiers had to live in trenches.
The trenches were very dark, narrow and long ditches dug into the ground.
The toilets would overflow and the beds were very uncomfortable and
muddy. The problems caused a lot of soldiers to get trench foot. At home
during the war the women were left to do everything cooking, cleaning and
even some of the jobs the men would do.

brilliant buttons

How to play:
put 6 buttons into a bag that is not see through. They have to be two different colours. pull the coloured buttons out of the bag one at a time record what u think you will get and what you do get. remember to put the buttons back every time you pick one out.

What I got:
there were 3 greens and 3 blues. so there was an even chance of me getting either.
First I thought I was gonna get blue, but got green.
Second I thought I was gonna get blue, then got blue.
Third I thought green, but got blue
Fourth I thought blue, but got green.
On go five I thought I would get blue, and I got blue
Sixth I thought green,  but got blue.

I got two green and four blue. two of my predictions were right and 4 were wrong.

Have you ever played this game?
If you have what was your results?

curios chickens

There are billions more chickens than humans on earth. There are 25 billion chickens roaming through earth. A hen can lay 300 or more eggs per year. Chickens can swim but their feathers are not waterproof; sometimes they will sink. Their lifespans are 5 - 10 years. Chickens can actually fly but they will fall or come down to solid ground very quickly.

why its important to keep your chickens coop clean !!!
It is important because they need a clean place to lay eggs. It is important to keep your coop clean because with the build up of dropping could build up to hurting the chickens eyes.

Ireland

Ireland is a very small country. There are two parts of Ireland the republic of Ireland and Northern Ireland. The republic of Ireland's population is 4.83 million people. Northan Ireland has 1.882 million. Northern Ireland is part of the UK, the four countries in the UK are Northan Ireland, Scotland, England and Wales.  Northern Ireland and Ireland are on the same land but they are two different countries.

In Ireland they have there own patron Saint called St Patrick. He died in the same place at he had built his first church. He is not actually Irish he is from mainland Britain. But at the age of 16 he was kidnapped by Irish pirates and spent 6 years in captivity before returning home to his family. He spent 15 years in priesthood then returned to Ireland as a missionary after having a vision where he was ordained bishop.

The capital of Ireland is Dublin. The capital of Northern Ireland is Belfast. The two official languages are English and Gaelic its a language they used in the olden days but now only 82,600 people use it at home. Ireland also invented the submarine. One of the most traditional Irish dishes is Irish stew, bacon and cabbage with potatoes and sausages.
