week 11 reading

For this weeks reading we had to do two tasks make a google drawing about the book we read the duel the invention awaken, and do the yes on text that we have been doing a lot here is the best eyes on text I did this week.

Next day was Thursday, market day. Stands of fruit and vegetables packed and the market place. Taro, kumara, breadfruit, greate branches of bananas, bundles of slippery spinach and beans, long beans flat beans, snake beans. When the old treasure was found, like a pumpkin were half a dozen tomatoes,  it was shared around the fleet. The yachties love the market not only for replenishing their stores but because it gave them the chance to catch up with all the gossip.

Did you enjoy my blog post?
Have you ever done eyes on text?

writing week 11

This week we have been writing 2 paragraphs for the story we wrote last week this is mine. The pink and purple highlighted paragraphs are the ones I wrote this week.

It was an icy cold day in Southern Antarctica. There was a glowing, white polar bear on a slice of slippery ice, just off the shore of Southern Antarctica. His name was Snowy, he had drifted all the way from the freezing cold icy north pole. It was a long cold lonely ride, he dined on Sardines and Squid. When he bit into them they made a squelching sound and were really chewy since they were not cooked in a burning oven. He was so excited because he could see land that looked cold and icy. The rushing waves started pulling him faster. The ice piece was quite small now so he had to hold on tight, if he let go he would die because he cannot swim. Then he saw an iceberg.

The iceberg was a lot bigger and wider than the one he was currently on, he wanted to make the jump but it was big and he was too little to be able to go in the icy cold water. But he was gonna fall in if he stayed on his slippery iceberg. He decided to jump but it was an 8 meter jump. He tried to jump but he didn't make it; he fell into the crystal blue icy water. It was 50 meters deep, he fell down 25 meters in a whopping 10 seconds. And 40 meters in a fast 15 seconds. By the time 20 seconds had struck he was at the bottom with such fear that he couldn't move.

Snowy was whelping and weeping at the bottom of the crystal blue water almost out of air, but then a miracle happened. His mother saw him. She didn't know it was him but she was lovely and risked her life to save her baby. By the time snowys mother was 25 meters down she was already out of breath but she kept going to save her beloved baby. She was about to quit at 40 meters but then she saw his face and tears flooded down her face in happiness. She was really struggling to get to the bottom, She was running out of breath, she didn't think she was gonna make it, but she had this drive inside of her that made her want to get to the bottom of the sea. Maybe it was because she was saving her baby or maybe it was because only 3 animals had ever made it to the bottom.  She grabbed on to snowy almost about to let go out of tiredness and no air she got to the top and snowy grabbed onto the slippery iceberg with his hole family his sisters, father and brother, but his mother didn't make it she ran out of breath and had sunk down 40 meters by the time her family noticed.

Writing week 10

For this weeks writing we had to fix these sentences by putting describing words in them.

We had to highlight the describing words.

Molly the pup lay on the cold soft snow. She looked at the crystal blue water. It was a bright sunny day. The wind was blowing in her hair.

The gassy vehicle broomed across the road. There was a loud car waiting to cross.

The crow flew across the icy blue sky and soar through the sky past the trees. It had fluffy black wings and a pointy beak.

The bird flew across the blue sky. It had big fluffy wings and yellow eyes like sunflowers. It saw something big, and went down towards the dirty ground.

A huge red tentacle came out of the crystal clear  water. The creature had a big pink head and small blue eyes as dark as the middle of the ocean.

We also had to write a paragraph with describing words about a picture that was on the doc we had to do it on this is the picture and the paragraph.

Do you use describing words in your story's?

These are mine from each day Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday and Thursday.

Despite Mr Meek being able to see for Miles around the top of the tree, there was absolutely no sign of fing anywhere. The wind blew across the deepest, darkest, jungliest, jungle and his thoughts Ted and to his darling daughter. as a father he couldn't let Myrtle down. He had to find a fing whatever it took. If not, there would be tears. Most likely his, not hers. He thought about home. While the sun was sitting across the jungle, Mr Meek pictured Mrs Meek putting Myrtle to bed. Right. about now, his wife could be reading.

Next morning a steady Breeze rippled the water across the bay.j The barometer was high, promising another hot day. this trade wind should help us make a fast passage, Jim said, having the barometer. Not too much taking either the direction we're heading in. He looked at the pile of basket ware still piled in the cockpit. Definitely not a purple bucket day.

Jessie followed Matt down below.  After all, it was her job to check things out. Unwashed dishes were stacked in the sink and the bench was piled  high with empty baked bean and spaghetti cans. A couple of dirty pots set on the shove  and banana skins littered on the table. She tried not to let the mess bother her.

It was early afternoon with Jazzy, Ryan and Chloe Rowed over to rags. With them they had the book of identifying which fish were edible in tropical Waters and which were dangerous to eat. It listed the symptoms of poisoning. They've left kate weaving. Ever since  they arrived in tonga she'd had this mad desire to weave baskets and she spent mega hours on them. She's already made 3 but they were all pretty more rectangular than round. She had her heart set on making a proper one.

Maths week 10

For week 10 maths we had to create a poster, song, poem, kahoot or screencastify showing this learning goal. Say the number 1, 10, 100, 1000 more or less. I made a poster. Please give feedback.

Have you ever done this learning goal?
