Inner peace
Inner Peace Reading
This week for reading we were focusing on inner peace, we had to find what our inner peace is and display it on a peace symbol that we had to colour in. We also had to find an article about it. On my peace symbol I used all the colours and wrote what makes me happy, what my inner peace is, I wrote friends, family, laughing and having fun.
My inner peace looks like laughing, spending times with my friends, living out my passions, playing sport and my pets.
What is your inner peace?

After The Spill
After the spill
For reading this week my group had to read the book after the spill. Its about the boat that sunk and produced oil into the ocean up in the north island. We had to challenge the text by asking four questions we also had to include and image and the paragraph where we thought of the question. The hero goal was Use questions to challenge the text, question the author, establish the authenticity of the text and state opinions.
This is my poster.
Have you read this text?
My Turangawaewae
My Turangawaewae
For writing this week we had to write about our tuangawaewae "a place to stand". So basically where you feel at home where you feel happy and safe. My turangawaewae is Canterbury, I chose this because its where I live now its where my family is its where my friends are and its the sports teams I play for.
This is my writing.
My Turangawaewae
My Turangwaewae, the rocky mountain range with wicked views, mountain biking topped with zip-lining. Epic hikes and gondola rides to remember. Raging rivers and trees as tall as buildings. Sport champions home of the Crusaders and the Tactix. The coastline is full of sandy golden beaches. The crystal blue water is as blue as the sky and the sound of dogs barking as they walk along the beach. The Margaret Mahy playground, fun and laughter. This is my Turangawaewae because this is where I grew up and where I live, it's my hometown and where I feel happy and safe.
What is your Turangawaewae?
