Thursday sports fun!

 Thursday sport 

In term 4 instead of doing winter sport Netball, football, rugby and hockey we are doing Korfball, Lawn bowls and Cricket. Its really fun i did korfball last Thursday with Lara. There was a man teaching it he was really good at teaching and it seemed like he was really good at playing it. He is from the Netherlands. When we did it it was really hot. He did it bit by bit he showed us some ground rules and then along the way he showed new rules and it got kind of hard. I'm really exited for this week i hope we do cricket next. Its so much fun to learn new things but i didn't give it my all because i was afraid on getting smashed in the mouth again but i gave it a fair shot.

Fabulous Ferrymead

Ferrymead  

 On Tuesday the 29th of October 2019 me and my hub went on a trip to ferrymead. It was so much fun. we had to wear weird uncomfortable costumes from the 18 or 1900s. We were set into groups. All the groups each had a parent or teach in there group. I was with Miss tulusi. I had my best friend Ariella in my group. we had to walk all around ferry mead and take pictures of every were we went. when we got there we had a New Zealand morning tea we ate animal cookies, pineapple lumps, cheerios, snax crackers with kiwi dip also pineapples and cheese attached to orange. They had an old fashioned school. we had to go in for  a session there was an old man who was really strict im happy my teachers aren't like that. we also got to watch an old fashioned movie. It was about a girl who loves to cook. her mum always cooks dinner but her mum had to go somewhere. so her dad had to cook dinner but it was a disaster. so when the girl got home she called her friend and they made dinner. we also went to an old jail and there was a jail sell with fake people inside it was a little creepy. Oh and I cant forget about the tram ride at the end, it was so much fun we rode around ferry mead and saw some cool things.

World war 1

World war 1 !!!

To start off our PBL this term we had to go to each homebase and learn about
New Zealand's history. In miss Parker's homebase you learned about NZs 
disasters. In Mrs Carney's homebase you learned about the early settlers of
New Zealand. Finally in Mrs Dungey's homebase you learned about NZs
history in world war 1. I made a slide show About New Zealand's history of
world war 1.

Museum trip

Museum trip

 On Monday  me and my entire hub went to the Christchurch Museum. to look at the history of Maori legends. In the morning we all got on a bus and drove to the museum. When we got there we went to sit in the entrance of the museum to go over the safety rules. Then we got split into groups. Me and my group went into this room were they taught us how the Maori people used to build in the olden days. They showed us a drill that was made out of only wood, rocks and string. They also showed us the old way to light a fire with wood. They did more but if I say everything my blog will be too long. After we finished in the building room they took us to the gallery to tell us Maori legends and go over all the cool pictures in the gallery. Then we ate lunch and played in the big tree the whole hub was climbing in the tree at one point. After lunch we all went back into the museum to have our own big look around the museum. We got to go into the paua house and watched the five minute movie it was so cool also in the paua house there was a little lounge to look in. After we got to have our own look around the museum we got on the bus and went back to school.
