PBL - Term 1
This term our Project Based Learning (PBL) has been about kindness and the big question was: How can we build community through our actions?
First, we explored some collaborative activities and discussed how we could include kindness and build a sense of community through our actions at camp. Next, we were organised into groups where we had to unpack the above question. In our groups we considered how we could spread community and kindness through our entire school community. We decided that we would offer something that was free and would make others happy.

We created an action plan and decided to games with the year 1/2 I think they enjoyed it we played lots of sports games.
Reflection:
For our final product our group decided to do sports games with the kakano hub. We played rob the nest, dodge ball, capture the flag, ball elimination and non stop tag. The kids enjoyed it and I hope to do it again soon some day.
How did our action build a sense of community in the school? I think it was good because we got to know the kakano kids a bit better. And the feeling of showing kindnesses always good. I think they will remember that day for a long time.
I contributed by buying the lollipops and helping the kids learn how to play the games. I also contributed by giving my ideas, showing leadership and doing good for the little ones. I think we showed them a little bit about being a leader.
I think the PBL might impact on others by getting them to show others sportsmanship and letting them feed of our kindness. And now they can show kindness to other people. I hope that we showed a lot of leadership and I think they will be great leaders when their older.
What I learned about working with others was you may not always agree but you know deep inside that you still care. And you really get to know some one else's personality and even if you don't think their cool don't judge a book by its cover. I just wanted to say as inspiration to others wherever there is a human there is an opportunity for kindness.
